The health and safety of our owners, employees, guests, and the local community is a priority for Watson’s Regency. Accordingly, and in light of the recent health advisories related to the Coronavirus, we felt it necessary to take additional steps as the Coronavirus continues to become a reality.
As of today, March 21, 2020, Watson’s Regency will be closed until April 4, 2020. Our phones will be answered from 9AM-5PM for future reservations and questions.
As of the time of this communication, we have not received any report of incidents related to the virus at the hotel. Our decision was a practical one, hoping to avoid the spread of the virus and allow people to “shelter at home” to prevent the spread. We are following the lead of Governor Murphy in hopes to keep everyone safe.
As a practical matter, we are taking extra precautions, including increased cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces.
We are monitoring announcements from the CDC and other agencies. We will take all appropriate measures to protect your health if any new directions are given. We encourage everyone to practice good hygiene including frequent hand washing with soap and water. We also ask that you please stay home in accordance with the recommendations from the CDC if you become sick.
If you have returned from a known area of heavy infection and have developed any respiratory symptoms like a cough, shortness of breath, or fever, contact your physician as soon as possible and avoid coming to the hotel. Limit your contact with others and seek medical treatment.
Thank you all for your anticipated cooperation with the recommendations from the CDC and your health professionals as we navigate this situation.
